Location: San Juan Bautista, CA

Employment Type: Year round

Hourly Rate: $22.25+ DOE

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB: This role provides essential support to the Production Supervisor by assisting with the supervision and timely execution of tasks. Responsibilities include monitoring production processes to uphold quality standards and implementing and enforcing safety procedures to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain a safe work area.
  • Report machinery problems immediately to maintenance and your supervisor.
  • Operate all production lines in your department (up to 2 washes simultaneously).
  • Accurately document lost time in the red zone.
  • Communicate respectfully and lead staff, ensuring efficient line operations.
  • Monitor yields and report any instances of product spillage.
  • Maintain good communication with other departments, such as Quality Assurance, Gatekeepers, Maintenance, and Scheduling.
  • Be knowledgeable about all varieties and cuts in your department.
  • Conduct meetings with your staff as needed.
  • Proficiently use the NiceLabel program.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience in the field is not required; however, familiarity with machinery or related knowledge is preferred

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is exposed to a cold (34-36 degrees F) and wet manufacturing environment, the smell of chlorine, outside weather conditions, uneven walking surfaces, heavy machinery, forklift traffic and loud noise.

  • Documentar con precisión el tiempo perdido en la zona roja.
  • Comunicarse respetuosamente y liderar al personal, asegurando operaciones de línea eficientes.
  • Monitorear los rendimientos e informar cualquier caso de derrame de producto.
  • Mantener una buena comunicación con otros departamentos, como Control de Calidad, Guardianes, Mantenimiento y Programación.
  • Conozca todas las variedades y cortes de su departamento.
  • Llevar a cabo reuniones con su personal según sea necesario.
  • Utilizar con soltura el programa NiceLabel.

EDUCACIÓN Y/O EXPERIENCIA:

  • No se requiere experiencia en el campo; sin embargo, se prefiere estar familiarizado con la maquinaria o conocimientos relacionados.
