The HR department is currently seeking an outstanding candidate to fill the HR Coordinator role who can contribute to the overall growth and success of the company.
GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB: Under the direct supervision, this position provides administrative support for the human resources department. In addition to answering phones, typing, filing, and scheduling, performs duties such as record keeping, coordination of meetings and conferences, and special projects. Also, answers non-routine correspondence and assembles highly confidential and sensitive information. Deals with a diverse group of external callers and visitors as well as internal contacts.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide training to new and returning employees in Employee Handbook, Sexual Harassment and safety related topics.
- Plans and conducts new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward Company goals
- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state regulations and ensures necessary records are maintained and prepared according to established guidelines
- Maintain human resource information system records and compile reports from the database as needed
- Investigate and attempt to resolve employees’ concerns
- Maintains knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.
- Maintains records of harvest personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations, and employee statistics for government reporting.
- Responds to inquiries regarding verification of employments, garnishments, levys, child support, etc.
- Administers benefits programs such benefit offering and adding / dropping from coverage
- Assist in the preparation of employee separation notices and related documentation, and conducts exit interviews, when appropriate, to determine reasons behind separations.
- Contribute to special projects as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability to meet project objectives and deadlines.
- Lead training calendar coordination and calendar reminders for our in-house trainer (Lupita)
- Clerical duties apply: scanning, data entry, filing, e-filing, answering phones, faxing, etc.
REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university and minimum of two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Fluent in speaking, reading and writing Spanish required
- Ability to travel as needed
- Must have a valid driver’s license
Please note that while the primary responsibilities of this position revolve around HR Coordinator, there may be occasions during peak transition periods or urgent operational needs where additional duties outside of the primary job description may be required. The pace of work in our department is fast-paced and may entail multitasking or shifting priorities frequently. Flexibility and adaptability are essential for the smooth functioning of our HR operations during critical times.

- Ability to efficiently present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees, clients, and customers of the organization.
