Department: Forecasting 

Reports to: Director of Business Intelligence & Analytics 

Pay Range: $115K+ annually, with a competitive bonus program

Job Site: Salinas, CA (100% office-based, no travel required)


JOB SUMMARY: The Demand Planner plays a critical role in optimizing demand forecasting and planning to ensure smooth operations across the supply chain. This role works closely with sales, operations, and procurement teams to ensure efficient production and supply chain processes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts based on historical data, market trends and sales projections.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and operations teams to align demand forecasts with production schedules.
  • Analyze demand data to identify patterns, trends and risks that could impact supply chain operations.
  • Collect and analyze data from sales, market trends, and inventory levels to forecast product needs.
  • Utilize software tools such as Tableau to track usage and forecast trends.
  • Optimize the use of forecasting tools and software to drive efficiency in the planning process.
  • Continually monitor market dynamics and customer behavior to adjust forecasts accordingly.
  • Participate in daily operations meetings with sales and customer service teams to review production schedules and adjust plans as necessary.
  • Generate reports and present demand planning insights to senior management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in demand planning, supply chain, procurement, or a similar role.
  • Proficiency with demand planning software and tools (e.g., Tableau, ERP systems).
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
