Processing Plant Coordinator

Department: Production 

Reports to: Director of Processing Plant Operations

Location: San Juan Bautista, CA & Yuma, AZ

Starting Rate: $21.00-$25.00

Relocation: This position is required to relocate to Yuma, AZ for 5 months every year (Mid-November through Mid-April). 


GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB: The Processing Plant Coordinator is in charge of leading and monitoring key responsibilities to aid the
Production Department as well as coordinate and collaborate with the Director of Processing Plant
Operations on various projects.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with the production team to create process flows for both new and existing items, and contribute to the implementation of these processes
  • Work jointly with the production and scheduling teams to ensure the timely update of target rates (bags per minute) and contribute to achieving accurate efficiencies
  • Responsible for collecting all production data/sheets
  • Create and update OPL (One Point Lessons) and OP’s for Production, Maintenance, Scheduling and Parts department

  • Authorize, issue and track keys, key badge access cards and parking passes 
  • Handle perimeter security surveillance requests from both operations and the security department
  • Annually issue and review company vendor packets, including first-time vendors

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Excellent verbal / written communication skills 
  • Intermediate computer/ typing skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office (including but not limited to Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) 
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills with ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, under pressure 
  • Strong analytical and operational skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage daily operations and multiple cross-functional projects simultaneously
  • Strong organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking
  • Able to work flexible duties
  • Able to travel/relocate as required
