This plan is dedicated to achieving the freshest quality produce, in the safest environment, while providing exceptional customer service.

The plan begins with engaging the best growers, in the best growing areas, and providing them with a planting schedule using the best seed varieties for each designated crop. Each variety is specifically determined to produce optimum results for that crop, at that time and in that location. The goal is to have both the product quality and the availability to meet the needs our anticipated customer base. This amount is predetermined, as communicated by the sales team, months ahead of harvest.

The Food Safety portion of our plan begins in the field, providing a “safety net” for our product. The harvest department and company trained and managed crews are upheld to rigorous food safety standards. We have always felt the need to communicate exactly what is required to our crews in order for them to maximize the quality potential available in the fields, safely and efficiently.

Post Harvest handling is the next fundamental step in the quality plan. Our field transportation employees and company run coolers have been trained to communicate, schedule, cool and prepare our produce in a timely manner. This critical step is fundamental in maintaining the optimal quality of produce “fresh from the field.”

With ever changing circumstances, be it weather, volume or price, the timely response of an efficient cooler leads to satisfied customers. Once the product is cooled and ready for shipment our Truck Appointment line coordinates the ready produce with the arrival of the produce carrier to minimize the waiting and loading time of our over the road carriers.

The final operational piece of the plan is to provide over the road transportation services for full or LTL loads throughout the country.
